We have been in a debt management for about 3 years but still owe 85k we currently pay £200 a month, thats going to take 35 years to repay! Looking at an IVA.

My partner is self employed and I currently look after our child. We get tax credits - I am currently trying to better my education and paying to study.

Can this expense be included in our exps or will I have to give up studying?

Hi leigah, I would speak to 2 or 3 professionals and see what they think of your situation. Try www.iva.com for a list of companies, always contact 2 or 3 to ensure you receive case specific, and more importantly impartial advice.

An IVA would give you a much shorter end date to your debts. Have a chat with 2 or 3 professionals and hopefully they'll be able to assist you. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
