Look divine

There arent many people who come here who are not scared out of their wits with debts they cant service. I really do understand that, these people you owe this money too cant touch you. I just dont see how you can go into an IVA with everything up in the air like this. You really do need a face to face with someone so you can explain the situation in detail. If you look in the phone book or even on the net, you will find the CAB (citizens advice bureau) listed, you will have a local one in your area. They deal with this kind of thing everyday and will talk you through your options. It may well be from what you are saying BR would be an end to this for you.

Everyone here at some time has faced this problem and it all gets too much for all of us at times.... We are not judging you, just trying to help you do the most important things first. You have obviously got a lot to go through. Are you saying that youre not moving out right away and want to do something to service the debts now??

Citizens Advice Burough is defo good advice look-divine - they will see you straight and it's face to face so much easier than doing it alone or from distance. They can really get you on right track...

You can do this hun - one step at a time xxx

Hi hun - you haven't angered anyone [:)] but I think without sitting down and going through your personal situation with someone face to face, you will not be able to get the answers you need...
Please try to make appointment with CAB - they will be able to advise you on housing and other things at same time to so all those answers on your individual circumstances in one place!
Good luck sweetie - going to bed now but hope you manage to make appointment to see someone soon xxx

We are desperately trying to steer you in the right direction to help you to service your problem. I dont know your circumstances, I do know what its like to be worried enough about debts to want to die.

I live in a council house since leaving my hubby with my 4 young children, I was terrified of the unknown and didnt know how on earth I would manage. You are amongst friends here, youre obviously so very scared but we cant help you if you dont post.

Why not try to see if you can get through to the CAB tomorrow and let us know how you get on. If you stay with us here you wont feel so alone in all of this.

Every problem has a solution and I am so sure yours is right there.

I wont be around, anyway, it seems that I am the one thats put you off, it wasnt intended at all.

Please just think about whats been said.

I know I had to wait too and it sucks, some years ago now but I remember the horrible limbo I was in then. I wish you the very best. You will be OK, I promise. Please try not to worry, get the house, a new life is just waiting for you. The CAB will be able to help you on all levels. I know youre scared and its perfectly understandable but you will be OK. As I said I dont know the circumstances but from what you have said, I think BR might be the best route. It really depends on how much you owe in total. I am not a financial expert just someone who has been in debt. You really do need to talk to an expert.

While youre waiting take a look at Bankruptcy, it sounds very scary but it might take some of the pressure off.

Good luck.

Yes - that is correct that your husband will have to pay over 20% of his salary for two children.

If you cannot wait for a CAB appointment, I am sure an insolvency practitioner would be happy to give you advice about your options. The CAB are dreadfully understaffed and underesourced at the moment - but do a very good job.

Well the CSA will make him pay, and if he doesn't he could end up seriously in trouble and have the money deducted straight from his wages. You cannot get his name of the joint loan I am afraid, and if it is a joint loan then he should also contribute towards it.
