We have a couple of firms who have started advising clients to inform the CRA's of completion themselves, following the issue of a completion certificate. However, my understanding was that the IP informs the Insolvency Service (who then mark the arrangement as completed on the Register and remove it three months later). The Insolvency Service then report, in the usual course of business, to the CRA's to update "court information" --- this results in the arrangement being marked completed in credit files.

This is how it happened in my case ( 4 years or so ago) and, I believe, others --- at least I have never been told otherwise, and this is the experience on other social media sites.

Can people who have completed please tell me what happened in their cases ...is us having to inform everybody of completion the new procedure ?
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

My IP informed the insolvency register, I informed the three agencies when I got my completion certificate. Two agencies removed my IVA from my file immediately, the third wouldn't do anything until I came off the insolvency register.
