really, i will try it coz i really need a mobile,not being luxurious but i need a phone, have you try having a mobile contract while your in IVA?

Hi Marie -- I managed to get a mobile contract with T-Mobile whilst in my IVA.

I've been with t mobile for a few years , my iva started 4 years ago (typing this on my iPhone 5) .. Give them a go , good luck , let us know how you get on .

whilst still bound by the terms of my IVA and still showing on the insolvency register and all CRAs have having an IVA, managed to get a new Tmobile contract for an iphone5 in late september. They do a pre check first that is really just checking your id. the next day when i returned to do the paperwork I was fully expecting to be rejected, How wrong I was I sailed through

I think I cant actually recall a forum posting from someone saying Tmobile had failed them

not sure how far into your IVA you are , but you may actually find when you have completed your IVA, that your Tmobile contract may help with rebuilding your credit score, as they report to the CRAs each month, just like the credit card companies do
