Hi, I am sure this has been answered many times but can't seem to find what I am looking for:

1. My F&F was proposed in July 09, accepted in Dec 09, and I finally received my completion certificate Feb 10 (roughly), yet my name still appears on the insolvency register....who's responsibility is it to ensure the insolvency register is updated ? the IP or myself ??? and is 2 months an appropriate amount of time for it to be removed.

2. Have checked my credit files, all three agencies and although my IVA commenced Jan 05, some of my creditors are indicating that the debt was only satisfied in 2007/08 (3 years into the IVA) - does that mean that those entries will not drop off my record at the 6 year point from commencing the IVA (2011) or 6 years from when the record shows 'satisfied' ?

Any help, comments are gratefully appreciated.

It is the responsibility of the Insolvency Service to update the register - based on a letter sent by your IP which would have been done at the same time as your Completion Certificate was issued. I understand that they do have a bit of a backlog at present.

The entries on your credit file should drop off six years from the date your IVA commenced - ie in January 2011.

your name should drop off the register shortly mine took a few months.in jan/feb 2011 check your files and if not clear contact credit agencies and they should help you sort your files out by contacting your old creditors.

As far as I am aware, although you will be able to find out who your creditors are, the CRA's won't contact them for you, you have to do that yourself.

Jan's right, you will need to write to each of your creditors if the defaults are incorrect and get them to correct the entries.

So when did this change Ronald?

The 3 credit agencies are still individual - Equifax, Experian and Callcredit - and you will need to check your report with all 3.

As far as I'm aware you only need to amend the main 3 credit reports - you'd be there all day if you contacted all of them. Most companies only use Experian and Equifax.

As far as I'm aware the IVA only stays on your credit file for 6 years.

An IVA only stays on your file for six years - you would need to check with the three agencies Skippy mentioned to make sure it has dropped off.

I'm not having any problems with the site at all now and there is nothing showing on Google.
