Your name is removed from the register as soon as your IVA is completed, and therefore does not stay there for 6 years. Skippy, your IVA will be removed as soon as your Supervisor files a notice of ceasing to act with the Registrar.
And can I just say that the instances of an individual being made bankrupt "by mistake" are extremely rare. People are made bankrupt because the owe money, or have not attended to their affairs correctly. Often this is a result of failure to submit tax returns and make payments to H M Revenue & Customs. If someone is genuinely made bankrupt "by mistake", they can apply for a stay on advertising whils their recission application is being dealt with at Court. This will also stop entries being made at the DTI.
