Yes, I'd agree with that. Equifax are slow to react, even to remove my own dispute notice took them 28 days, and this was only after they took just over 6 weeks to resolve the issue I had with the data.

Also just re-reading my post and should add as well as the IVA being marked as cleared it also has to be on your file for a minimum of 6 years from the date of arrangement. Not that this applies to you Vince but to make it clear for anyone else reading it.

hi, we did a F&F IVA,accepted in Feb last yr,the IVA wasn't "closed" until Aug last yr. we had a note at the bottom about the 3mths.

i might be wrong but you won't come off until your IP closes the IVA & sends paperwork to them. we were told we'd stay on for 3mths because ours was a F&F IVA.

we rang the insolvency register people, didn't find them helpful, the guy said he'd not heard of a F&F IVA!

in the end Liz @Mel Giles helped us by faxing the paperwork across again to them as they kept saying they'd not had necessary papers from our IP (but they knew we'd finished - go figure!-frustrating).

thanks to Liz we were off the next day after the 3 mth date. bliss! we were so,so happy to get off there![:D]
Nothing stays the same...everything changes..hang on in there!

all the credit agencies are rubbish they only want your money! The iva register is a downside to the iva and think is ,more of a stigma than a the iva.the fact that you can see all the people in black and white doesnt seam right to me .It like been treated a criminal!because you got in to debt and then decided to do something about it
completed july 2011

I agree orange.

It's also a ticking timebomb for anyone looking for name, address and dob to start ID fraud.

2 difference scenarios, same consequences...

Tax records on computer discs go missing, losing the same data raising a public outcry.

Same details on the IR and nothing is said or done, following a petition to the goverment for it to be restricted to need to knows.

I could not wait to get off it myself.

I agree that it shouldn't be in the public eye but good luck to anyone who tries to get credit in my name!!!!

Once I have finished then I will register again with CIFAS so anyone asking for credit will have to jump through a lot more hoops before they can get it.
