is it allowable to include insurances, such as life insurance and mortgage term insurance [the kind that pays the mortgage off if I die and leave my wife with a big mortgage that she can't pay] in the IVA calculations?

I claim £32 life insurance per month.

You should be allowed to include as it is an expense

Yes - insurances are definately able to be included in IVAs so long as the premiums are reasonable.
