I couldn't use my co-op electron card at the Asda petrol pump!

Our IP suggested we go with Halifax Easy Cash!

Slightly off topic (but only a bit!)

Hubby and me still have a Barclays current account, cheque book and debit cards. Barclays is one of my creditors, but not his.
If we were to put a small amount of money (contingency fund) into there, could Barclays touch it?

Isn't life strange, when we tried to open a Nat West Step account we were refused because we were in an IVA and HSBC accepted us for their basic account with just a cash card that we can only use at HSBC machines. we took with us for both banks everything concerning our IVA.
There doesn't seem to by are rhyme or reason why some people are accepted at some banks and others aren't.
