I brought some clothes from an internet site and thought i had paid for them at the time I made the order having submitted by card details etc. Yesterday I received a statement with monies outstanding and credit agreement to my horror.
I know the terms of my iva do not allow me to get credit. I immediately rang them up and said that I want the account as cash only, should I ring my iva company up and let them know what happened. Not really sure how this works and if they make checks, am a bit worried about it. Can anyone help?
What did the company say when you telephoned them?
If you have paid for these goods, then all I would do is rip up the credit agreement and cancel the account.

They said that there was an error for some reason but couldnt say why and that I still owe the money. On checking my bank statemnets to be horror the money hasn't come out. I havent spent the money but since I started in my iva have been very careful about paying for things straight away. It's frightening how you can enter into credit agreements without even realising, suppose its another lesson learnt that I won't be repeating.
It is not really an issue for your IP - just tell them that you want to pay the debt off, do so and treat it as a mistake on their part. Nothing to worry about.
Just pay the firm you bought the clothes from. This is not an issue for your IP.

Glad it's sorted for you Janey - big sigh of relief!
