Hi guys,

I thought this would be a good idea! It's obvious why we're all here but I'd like to introduce myself in a little more detail and hope others will do the same. It's nice to know a bit more about the people you're chatting to. I'm pretty new here and now recognise a few of the names on the forum but I'd like to get to know people a little better.

Name: Stephanie, Steph or Stephie or whatever you want to call me!
Age: 23
Hometown: Mexborough, South Yorkshire

I'm happily married to the lovely Stephen and have been for almost 4 years. We've been together nearly 6 years in total. Things that are important in my life are my husband, family and friends. I suffer from Depression and extreme panic attacks which I am on medication for.

I'm into movies and music in a big way! My favourite bands/artists include, Evanescence, AFI, Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Metallica, Fozzy, Tim McGraw, My Chemical Romance and loads more.

Some of my favourite movies are: Pirates of The Caribbean, Elizabethtown, Romeo and Juliet, Gangs of New York, Meet Joe Black. I adore Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp!

If I could recommend any author it would be Tess Gerritesen. Her books are mainly medical thrillers and aren't for the faint hearted, you can pick her books up on ebay for next to nothing. Not that we hardly have any spare money.

I'm a huge supporter of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club and don't get to as many games as I'd like to due to our financial siutation but that's life.
Don't want to let it lay me down this time, drown my will to fly....

Well here goes!

Name: Tracey
Age: 31 (32 in March but clinging on to 31 for dear life!)
Hometown: Sunbury in Middlesex

I live with the extremely patient Dave - we've been together for 9 years, and living together for 1. Like you Steph the important things in my life are Dave and my very understanding family and friends.

I'm not really into movies as I get bored easily. If I do watch films I like comedies - National Lampoon and things like that. Television wise I like Casualty and the Bill and most crime fiction programmes. I have a really varied taste in music - the Beautiful South (I'm gutted I never got to see them live), The Pogues (I've had tickets to see them twice but been ill each time, The Saw Doctors (I know no-one has heard of them!) and Meatloaf, who I am going to see in May thanks to my mum buying me tickets for Christmas.

I also love Tess Gerritsen - I have joined the library so that I can get books really cheaply, and I read her latest one (The Mephisto Club) a couple of weeks ago. I also like Linda Fairstein, Kathy Reichs, James Patterson, Mark Billingham and Karin Slaughter - I love a good crime novel, the more gruesome and graphic the better!

I've supported Manchester Utd since I was 11 - the reason I chose Utd was because I fancied Bryan Robson! Not that I get to go - no money (obviously!) and tickets are like gold dust anyway.

I am currently on a mission to lose weight - I am being bridesmaid for my friend in November, and I want to lose a couple of stone before then as the other bridesmaids are size 8 and 10! It's not going very well so far, but I'll knuckle down soon - I need to get into training for the Race for Life in July.

Anyway, I think that's about all I can say about me!

Onwards and upwards!!!

Hello

Real name Kris Lily

Age (would rather not say) but 25 I think (not)

Single (divorced) Mom Solihull West mids.

I really love my kids and they are the most important thing in my life and always will be. The 3 boys have autism the older one defined as Asperger syndrome, which means they are logical and ordered and with them variety is not the spice of life. I also have a daughter the youngest, who has no problems. Anyway, our relationship is based on love, mutual trust and respect. Achievements are met with much celebration. They are kind, well mannered and its a privalege to be such an important part of their lives. My brother and sister are pretty important to me also.

I like detective programmes, such as waking the dead, just love it. I also watch documentaries. Favorite films include steal magnolias and anything with Julia roberts in it. I also love Jonny Depp.

I love Will Young, did ever since I first heard him sing. Took my daughter to see him about 3 years ago.

I have worked mainly in the NHS, and enjoy sports medicine and bio/pathomecanics and surgery. My mission for the future is to have my own clinic or at least work for myself.

Apart from having debt problems, I lost my job and my Mom died suddenly and unexpectedly at christmas. Still quite sad but I am just about to take a short break. I think I have learned to appreciate people so much more than I used to.

LILY

Hi everyone
My name is Sue and I am a young 43(you lot make me feel old) married with three teenage daughters living in Nottingham. Only recently decided to deal with our large debts and this site has been so helpful, I must have read just about every post on here trying to find as much as I can about IVA and bankruptcy.
I too enjoy crime novels some of my favourite authors being Karin Slaughter, Harlen Coben, Mark Billingham, Nicci French and Val McDermid although lately I have read some of Jodi Picoult's books - "My Sisters Keeper" being the saddest book ever. Favourite films would again be thrillers.
I love listening to all kinds of music (with three daughters it's a case of if you can't beat it join it) my ipod is my very favourite thing in the world after the kids my husband and our daft dog! Especially enjoy Snow Patrol Craig David Goo Goo Dolls and dance music to which my daughters laugh and say "Mum you are not 20 anymore" don't I know it!
Also enjoy meeting up with my friends and watching Ice Hockey and football especially England (glutton for punishment) I enjoy holidays in the sun but for the next 5 years at least the back garden will have to do. Roll on a hot summer!
Lily my heart goes out to you. My best friend has a severley autistic daughter who is now 16 and I have seen how hard her life has been and that is without any debt problems to deal with and losing your mum as well. I lost my dad when he was 51 and my mum when she was 56 they meant so much to me but it has shown whats really important in life the ones you love.

My name is Helen, engaged to Mike since August last year, I have 2 kids, a 15 year old daughter and a 10 year old son, I also had a daughter who died of a brain tumour almost 13 years ago, she was 8.

Im 39 and am a supervisor for the NHS sterile services, although we are being privatised in May.

Lily my brother and his wife have 2 severly autistic kids, and theyre absolutely beautiful.

I split from my kids dad over a year ago, and havent regretted it at all, since being with him for almost 21 years I was severly depressed and had no self worth.

Currently struggling with so many things, partners debts, teenage daughter, ex partner who refuses to pay child support and partners ongoing divorce.

Its nice to see you are all footie fans like me and sorry Princess B, just had to say this, we are all die hard Luton fans in my house and we beat you last night (only just though!).

Hope you are all having a good day and hopefully when I have my adjourned meeting on Monday, everything will be OK (don't think I have any more body parts left to cross!).

Lots of Love XX

Hello, my real name is Dummy (smile). I have 2 daughters ages 22 and 17; and a hubby. We have been married for 12 years. I love to write, sew, paint and play terribly on my piano. I love the authoress Elizabeth George. I do not like debt collectors nor do I care for lying dishonest IPs. I have a pretty good sense of humour; and tend to tell silly jokes. My age...well...ummm...let me just say I am older than dirt, but younger than sin.

Glad to meet you all my sisters in debt.

All I have left is my humour. :)
