I don't always post but do like to read and I like to keep up with who is having their meeting and offer support and congratulations.

As professionals, we also get an awful lot out of this site - from a continuing professional education point of view. And we do really enjoy reading the true life stories of how people actually cope with dealing with unaffordable debt.

I've had so much advice and support from this forum, and I've made some really good friends. I can't imagine not posting to be honest!

I think it's the same with any true professional....our industries are light years apart but with mine I strive to take part in forums or reading or attending trainings that will add to my CPD and hopefully make my industry more professional....sadly, there will always be cowboys.
7 year IVA completed in December 2016 - there is light at the end of that tunnel

If I could be as creative as you are Cath, I would be a very happy girl! Still looking forward to seeing some of your handiwork for real!

When I worked in a call centre I volunteered to work a shift on Christmas Day and Boxing Day - it saved doing the Christmas thing!

Today I feel enpowered!!
I am soooo looking forward to Christmas!! Its the first time I will of ever done a "cash" Christmas.I am a single mum of 2 children 9 and 4 so its still rather magical. I have told my parents that this year the 3 of us will be staying at home rather than travelling the 120miles to visit trailing everything around and that if the family want to see us Christmas day they know where we live!!! Get me aged 35 and telling the folks how I am going to do Christmas!!!
Back to square one but what dunt kill you makes you stronger!!

Good for you!

I have to say that you're braver than me - it's family tradition that we go to my mum's for Christmas Day and for the last few years I've just wanted to spend it with Dave but I've never had the courage to say anything! I didn't go one year as I was ill and I don't think I've been forgiven yet!

I have broke the tradition but I have to collect kids from ex husband christmas eve hide a car load of presents then drive 120mile get kids in bed unpack car, then next day my mum likes everything just so, no jeans, all rather formal then wait for rest of relatives to arrive. boxing day is then drive 30mile to drop kids off with ex in laws.

its a nause and its not happening, this year we are going to have selection boxes for breakfast, a big normal roast dinner with tacky crackers and ice cream for pudding if we feel like it all still in our jim jams if the mood takes us!!!

Fingerscrossed great to read your posts today. Was feeling a little down but your posts certainly give me hope that if I can get my IVA passed then there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

"Selection boxes for breakfast" lol.....the way XMAS should be!

I'm sure you will have a great time and all done on "cash"...not "credit"!
I came into this world with nothing and still have most of it left!
