My creditors meeting hasn't been fixed as yet I only returned the paperwork last weekend and have sent the missing wage slips in the last few days. Shall I cancel my standing order for the 27th April and keep the money back for the IVA?

I think that will be a good idea - since your creditors meeting should be fixed around that time or shortly before or after.

Thanks for the advice David I will cancel the payment straight away. Just out of interest are creditors meetings held close to where you live or close to your IP or can it be anywhere

Most creditors meetings are held at our offices. Normally just a formality and most creditors use agents who in turn use a Proxy (piece of paper) indicating how they are going to vote. We usually ask our clients to be available by a phone on the day to discuss any late modifications and most importantly to give you the result.

Thats not so bad then because your office is only about an hours drive away from where we lie. It is better to attend the meeting or is it really not something that is encouraged

You can attend with pleasure. No one actually turns up (only ever known it once in the last5 years in respect of consumer debt IVA's). Give Cheryl a ring if you want to attend - no problem.
