Is it possible to obtain a mortgage if you have an IVA. I have seen 25% share mortgages available that may be affordable?I am not entitled to council housing and housing allowance so may not be able to afford private renting.

hi hara and welcome-not sure if you mean a re-mortgage or a totally new mortgage. if the latter i will leave that for a pro to answer. all i do know is that if there is a reason for needing credit it must have the express permission of your ip and if by any chance you could get one it would most likely be from a sub-prime lender and you would need a whacking deposit. hang on in there a pro will be along [:)]

Yes it is posssible to obtain mortgage funding whilst in an IVA.

Firstly you would need the permission of your IP and then it would be a case of looking at what is available for you. Each case is judged on its own individual merits, the key factor at present seems to be Loan to Value Ratios, but fundamentally it is possible. Hope this helps. Tony
