If you are entitled to any PPI refunds they will be payable to your IP, so I would leave it to the IP if he / she wants to claim.

Isn't the PPI deadline sometime this year?

Thanks for you advice.. I was contacted by part of the team I was with stating that I could claim and it would come to me so wasn't too sure .. when I came out of my IVA I wasn't asked to sign any forms regarding ppi or anything .. :D so I'll just leave it ..

29th August --- but that is, as far as I know, just PPI. There will, no doubt, be a scramble to find other things ---- bank charges, mortgages sold without full fees disclosure, any insurance sold without full disclosure.

Considering I have been through an IVA myself - I don't think my partner has claimed any PPI back at all. You would think I would have noticed :?

I think that It is often worth doing.Because number of people have discovered the PPI and has added to credit or loans to cover the repayments of financial difficulties..

If you are in an IVA, or have been in the past, any PPI refund still belongs to your creditors and is often paid direct to your IP, meaning that the claims companys fees ( if you used one ) will have to be paid by you !
If my IVA firm want to dabble, they are welcome, but I would not bother to do it myself.

Yes but there will be a inconsistency surrounding the treatment of PPI in compensation of IVAS. But An asset is something of value which can be used to help pay off your debts. An IP is someone who is licensed and authorised to act in relation that he owes money collects money due to the person or company.

If we qualify for the compensation how to check for the PPI and how we can refund the PPI?

The IP will, if he or she wishes, check for PPI and the creditors often send the refund cheque direct to the IP.
If you want to check for it you can write to the lenders yourself and they will either send you the refund, which you should pass to the IP, or they will send it to the IP themselves. You could also use a claims company, but, if the creditors send the refund direct to the IP ( as they often do) you will have to pay the claims company fees yourself.
BUT ... there is only one week left to make claims ---- after the 29th August no more claims can be made.

You will only know if you claim -- many claims are based on the fact that the person didn't know they had PPI added -- so you have to write to all lenders and ask ... some will tell the truth, some will still lie !

A claims company can do this for you -- they charge between 25% and 40% of whatever tyhey get back --- it varies from firm to firm.

August the 29th is a deadline set by the regulator as the last date you can start a claim.
