is there any point goin to cab 2moz r they gonna tell me that there is no help out there other than bankruptcy ? i have to travel 15 miles to get to them and dont have a car so is it worth it feel so down at moment and daughter is 16 2day bless her noone knows how bad my situation is only hubby all he keeps sayin is get a full time job i work part time at mo but then there will b child care and travelling becos i dont drive [:(]

Anfieldbabe, yes there is a point. They will be able to advise you on your options and then you will know for certain instead of wondering if this or that and what if's............ you may not like what they say but at least it will be honest and non-judgmental. I dreaded going to CAB the first time and when I got there she was absolutely lovely. She helped me make sense of all of the mess we were in and made me realise it wasn't my fault that were in it. They will help you sort out a plan of action or as Paul says, 'get your duck in a row'. When you know what your realistic options are then, and only then , can you do something about it.

I didn't go to the CAB re my finances, but I did go to the CAB regarding my divorce. They were very helpful, very non-judgmental, and gave me a lot of useful advice.

I would still go and see them, and at least see what they have to say. I aren't sure of your circumstances, presumably an IVA isn't for you?

Don't think you can be a treasurer if you're bankrupt. Just get someone else to be treasurer though, shouldn't stop you running the footy club.
Your TV should be safe, they don't normally see personal household stuff as assets unless it is a very expensive tv. On the bankruptcy forms you will need to list the assets that you have, usually house and cars.

Hi just like to mention before you set off to see CAB please give them a phone call to see if someone is available to see you as i wouldn't like you to have a wasted journey, at my local CAB you have to make an appointment. Wish your daughter happy birthday, i know how you're feeling it was my son's 21st yesterday.

ty hun yeh i have rung and got my appointment for 2moz took me 3 weeks to get hold of em tho only open 2 days a week from 10 til 1 was on fone like foreva

Hi my local CAB is also only open 1.5 days per week and takes you ages to get appointment (like weeks in advance)so i'd say keep you're appointment, at least you can talk to someone outside of the family face to face and get some things off your chest (as is said), hope things go well if you decide to go.

Good luck tomorrow Anfieldbabe. You really do need to go to the CAB and try and get your situation sorted out. They are very good - my mum went to see them last week and they helped her with the problems with Trading Standards. You will get good advice from them.

Your possesions should be safe, it cost a lot of money to reclaim anything, so it has to be worth their while, only antique furniture or items worth thousands of pounds would be touched.

Unless there is something in your football club's constitution which prevents you from acting as a Treasurer, then there is nothing to stop you from doing so, but do make sure that you declare this to the Official Receiver.

been to cab and was really helpful in sorting my problems (hopefully)they are going to write to my creditors and offer a payment because i dont have a lot of disposable income so hopefully things might be lookin up for me (dont hold your breath anf ) sorry about the typin its cos im a spring chick (of 34) and used to my daughters on msn lol the only thing that the cab was worried about is my 1 missed mortgage payment because i am with gmac rfc and they are not a high street lender so tend to come down heavy on any missed payments so got to find 386 pound
