Hi
No is the short answer, however if you can make savings from your expenditure allowance or save from your share of any overtime/bonus then you are free to spend this as you wish

Hi Anthony

As Andy says, there isn't normally a provision for holiday's, because they're a luxury......That'd be one understanding set of Creditors!

I have been on a holiday through the Sun paper, it was great and just the ticket. I'm sure most of us on here can find £9.50 for a few days away

If you can save any money, you can go away, or if you have generous relatives. Courtesy of my daughter, we managed to go to Egypt last year.

Some posters take advantage of the Sun deals or often Travelodge do £9.00 @ night deals and I use these for when I visit my family.

We're going to Thomasland (Drayton Manor) for my 3 year old's birthday. My parents paid for mine & hubby's birthday, whereas it would have went on the credit card in previous years.

Not sure if I'll get away but would like to think so, there was talk a few weeks ago that we were to go with son and his twins (6 months) adn they would pay for us if we would help with the care of the twins...might consider it, so long as I have the daytime to myself I can easily have them in the evening, plus they'll be over a year by the time we went. No more mention of it yet but you never know.

I don't mind having the twins in the evening, I never touch alcohol and don't like the loud social life so I'm happy pottering about local shops etc.,

Hi
I save Tesco vouchers you get 4x their valve that will be our chance of having a holiday. Not the same as going to Turkey but at least you do not have to face all the bills when you get back!

We are going on a sun holiday this year to Brean - although we did want Isle of Wight. Anyways we are having 5 days at Pontins. And we have managed to save enough and get a really good deal for 2 nights in a premier inn to extend our hols. xx
Its now time to start living and to make some some wonderful memories!

Holidays eh!

Well ive had a week in the last 3 years, just the tent weymouth and it was great, although my other half who doesn't fully understand why i never have any money, keeps saying she wants a holiday abroad. Its one of those i really don't want to let her down but also i can't tell her how bad my money situation is.

Ive been lucky the last few years as our holiday weeks have never matched up. This year its a bit different, i booked my weeks off work and she waited and booked the same, have no idea how to convince her a tent in wales is just as good as a beach in the med!

Last year it was two weeks diving in the Maldives for us, this year we are hopefully going away for a week to a slightly less exotic place but nevertheless just as beautiful, Wales - but do you know what, I'm so looking forward to it. I really didn't enjoy last year's at the back of my mind there was always the worry of money. No such worries this year - a nice quiet week in Wales with just the hubby, the children and my mother-in-law who made it possible for us to go away with her. [:)]
