Hi, My Iva was agreed last september & all payments have been made & there are no problems, however, I am having problems with the company that have dealt with my Iva for me. Some of my creditors are still sending bills through & chasing for payments & when I contact them they say they have had no official notification about my Iva. I have contacted my IVA practitioners & they never get back to me or just tell me that they will deal with it.

I received a letter some time ago from them asking for information so they can review my Iva which I sent on to them & still havent heard anything back. That was weeks ago. I just feel that they dont seem to be working to help me with anything & I feel that I may be paying them quite a lot out of my payments which I dont feel is justified. Is there anything I can do about this or could I get someone to look at my Iva plan? Please could you advise? Many thanks.

Hi gtony and welcome to the forum

It is disappointing that your IP firm is being so unresponsive. This is not acceptable as they are being paid good fees for looking after your case. Who are you using?

Notwithstanding this, however, it is quite normal (albeit irritating) for creditors to claim that they have received no notification of the IVA - when perhaps they, themselves, have an internal communications problem. I feel that it is unlikely that your IP will not have circulated creditors.

Try and speak to the IP personally to express your concerns, as it is probably members of staff you are speaking to relatively low down the chain of command at present.
