Is there anyway we can appeal Cleardebts decision to refer us to GF for secured borrowing ?

It could help for sure but I suppose some would be so relieved at getting to the end they just want to move on! #128530; Which I suppose some companies realise

I agree that IPs shouldn't be allowed to suggest secure lending if it said remortgage. I guess Third Party Funds needs clarifying. I remember Melanie saying her interpretation wasn't secure lending but therein lies the issue, these things seem to be open to interpretation.

So much seems to be down to what slant an IP takes. Things certainly appear trickier now than 6.5 years ago when we looked. The relief when you are offered a solution and then again once completed I fear will put people off complaining.

Exactly, which I bet some companies rely on, I have screen shots of Mel stating 1. 3rd part funding is NOT secured loan and 2. She had taken legal counsel on it and remortgage and secured loan are not the sane thing

."..not the sane thing."

Your autocorrect gave the right interpretation!

Ha! I can't wait for this to be over for me, it's not the budgeting anymore it is the constant worry about the posts being moved. 2.5 years seems like another 5!'

So glad it's over for you and I hope others continue to question this as you rightly did.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
