having just looked at their forum and advice dished out I am deeply concerned that genuine people with genuine problems will look on that site and believe what is written and it would appear at first glance to the reader that bankruptcy is the best (preferred option)

Although it interesting to see what one person wrote about possibly being a secret agent to find out what they are up to particularly as she was questioned as to her knowledge about the subject.

Want to take this brief opportunity to say that this forum rocks and the advice and support given is 100% genuine and people care about what happens to other members - keep up the great work everyone[:D]

That's the default text for PHPBB, the message board that they are using, they just haven't bothered to replace it with some of their own

Whatever the IP's role is, if he is real and if he does have a role, he is associating himself with people that are encouraging people to get in touch with them by... well... lets be averse to the risk of this site being dragged into anything it doesn't want dragged into and call the means merely "dubious".

Surely this isn't something that it would be wise for a professional to do? Or is he unaware of what he has got himself involved in and needing to be told?

Saddened to see that, despite all of their assurances of good practice, that they are still telling people not to engage their IP. Would it be possible for you to scan and e-mail the letter to Andy who can send a copy on to me. I have been engaged in correspondence with their IP recently, and would like to take up this point with him professional to professional.

Well, I've been and had a look at their forum, and it's good to be back....

What it has going for it.....Melanies agreed to post their and shed some much needed light into their darker corners....

It's problems...... no Andy, terrible choice of background colour and a palpably agressive aura....I'd be afraid to post, they're not very nice to each other....

Stay with IVA.co.uk, it's clearly in a league of it's own!!

Martin

I recall someone on this forum referring to the IVA council forum and got the vibe that the latter is a load of rubbish. Anyway curiosity got the better of me and I had a nosey on the ivacounvil.org.uk website to look through their forum discussions. I read all the forum discussions from start to finish, not that there was much to read however as not many people post on their site - not surprised at that saying as most people who post on it are treat like sh1t! Well I have to say I was utterly shocked at the some of the comments made by the so called "professionals" behind that forum; patrionising, intimidating and damn right rude! One girl who claimed to be in an IVA was ripped to shreds by one of these "professionals" for simply voicing an opinion.

Thank goodness for this forum, it's genuinely professional IPs and ability to speak freely so as to support all us lot with money problems.

Sorry for the rant but just wanted to have my say against IVA council and the idiot who seems to behind it all, M Brown.

Last payment made on 1st Nov 2011. Happy to be debt free!

I read their forum and ,as everyone else, cannot believe the way that some are spoken to, and yet again yesterday another post from someone receiving a letter telling them that their iva is being monitored ? by the ivac and that they should contact them and not inform their IP.
