I don't think that what you have used the credit card for is looked into.

You have to explain how you managed to get into debt so that your creditors can see.

How much of your debt has been spent on bingo? Do you have a problem with gambling, or is it a one off?

When explaining why the debt you need to be upfront and honest as this will the basis for the overview in your propoal to creditors. If it is a gambling habit of any kind (bingo included) then they would look to see something written down to say you are now having counselling etc to overcome this problem so that creditors can feel some level of comfort in that you are looking to overcome the issues that caused the debt in the first place.

It depends how much has been spent on holidays, gambling etc. I had a few entries for the Lottery online, but because it was such a small amount it wasn't mentioned.

As has been mentioned your past spending patterns will not prevent you obtaining a solution for your debt problem. A large part of my debt was due to online gaming but you will need to show that you have taken steps to address any problems you may have.

That's right - a flutter on the lottery, or even the occasional game of bingo is ok.

It's only when it gets out of hand that you will need to show that you have taken steps to address it.
