Hi I have an IVA and have 3 years left on this. I am looking to rent now and have been told my Mom can be a guarantor. I have just handed the application form to the letting agents and feel nervous about the outcome. In your experience is it possible to rent with an IVA?

Sometimes it is better to approach a landlord directly rather than going through an agency - as there is less liklihood of them performing a credit check. However if Mum is prepared to stand guarantor for you, and has a clean credit rating herself, there should be few problems.
