is there any way I can make my IVA company sign me off. Its been 4 years since the payments stopped and they are still dragging there feet about signing me off. Any help will be very welcome.
Me too.... I'm struggling to understand why my IVA is still open, I have spoken with the FO, and I am now waiting to speak with trading standards. I took my IVA out on the basis all my debt would be paid and gone on 5 years, in fact the unique selling point was " you would be debt free in 5 years with up to 50% of your debt written off" mummm... Didn't happen hasn't happened. I was initially told I would need a 12k loan at the end of 5years, when they said not enough equity in the house I agreed to extend my payments to year six. PPI then happened at the end of year 6 after my payments had finished! 2 yes 2 years on it's still going on, it took my company (Synergy) over 5 months to hand my case to a PPI company, I know this as the PPI people told me the date they received my claim! Now every time it phone it's the same thing over and over again! Still waiting for more claims! I want to speak with trading standards as I believe I was " miss sold" my IVA..... Yes I needed help getting out of debt, and I was committed to 5 years but 8 years later it's an absolute disgrace, I think the government now need to step in, I intend to get my local MP involved as I am sure I am not the only person who feels this way!
Hi I too am still waiting for my IVA to complete even though i made my last payment in Feb 2013.
I do hope that you get some joy out of bringing this to the attention of your MP and i think it is about time for an IVA industry expose type program maybe by Watchdog or similar.
