Hi All.
I would like to thank you all for the advice I have got be reading this site and many of your blogs, my IVA was accepted today, so its 60 months to go for me. 60k debts and paid about 47p in the £, a bit more than I wanted to pay, but on the whole a fair price
I used Thomas Charles to start with, talking to Philip Hunt, I know they charge for their services, but for me it was worth the money. Don’t worry, if you are reading this and thinking of an IVA and cant afford their advice, you can get plenty of free and excellent advice from the forums on this site.
My advice if you are thinking about an IVA, don’t be taken in by some TV adverts from companies who just try to process all they can, as quick as they can, be honest about what you can afford, don’t just think banks will except what you offer them without checking, they will, so be honest, but realistic, you need to be able to afford the payments you propose.
Lastly, don’t panic, your not the first and you wont be the last, people on this site know how you feel and have an idea what you are going through. Just ask a question and start getting some advice to help you deal with your debts and get on with your life, it’s not a push over, but you can do it, I did and 3 months ago, I would not have believed that!
Cheers, Mark.
