Hi All,

Today my IVA was finaly accepted. I just wanted to thank everyone who gave me advice when I was worried and answered questions when I was confused.

For all of you who are just starting this process, please listen to the good advice that is given here, don't panic, you are not on your own and surprisingly when you are wide awake with worry, there are people here to answer your questions.

I would also like to say something about all the phone calls that you get from creditors. I took the stance that the people phoning have a job to do, so I answered them very politely and explained that I was taking advice on my finances. In general, most of them would allow me the maximum of 10 day before calling me again for an update. OK MBNA was an exception to this rule but, I perceivered with the politeness and requested that a note be put onto my account each time. Even their calls slowed.

So stick with it and good luck.

Many Thanks
George

Thank you all. It did go through first time, with what seems to be normal exception on the payment to the IP.

It appears that everybody is having thier IVA's accepeted at the moment which is great news. The only problems I have seen is where NR have made a few people sweat over having adjournments. It is really encouraging for everybody taht are awaiting thier creditors meetings to see how successful proposals are at the moment.
