Hi all

I can't stop smiling [:D][:D][:D], I thought this day would never come...
My iva was approved today, slight modification of an extra £40 but some creditors wanted an extra £90!!! God knows where that would have come from!!
I am so pleased as was getting so stressed and could not cope with a lot more.
BIG BIG BIG BIG thanks to Melanie, Tina, Anglea and Sarah for all the help, advice and time you have spent with me. I am so glad I found this forum and found such a professional, understanding team of people. If Carlsberg made Insolvancy Firms, Melanie's would be it!!!!
MASSIVE thanks also to everyone on the forum for opening my eyes to the whole process of an iva, it has been amazing and helped me to agree to a realsitic and sustainable iva. I was so desperate before I started posting on here i would have signed anything put in front of me, but I now know how crucial it is to get it right from the beginning..
I will be around on the forum for a long time to come and hope I can help others in the way I have been helped by everyone.
I am so grateful to have the iva accepted and am so determined to make it work well for the 5 years.
I will post all details as soon as I get the report..
Thanks Again
Emma x

Emma

It would be great if you could write a blog about your IVA journey to help all of the other people who may be wondering about which way to turn.

And many thanks for your kind comments about my team. Feedback like this is always gratefully received, and I will pass your comments onto my girls who are all professionals in their own right.

Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner for over 20 years.

Thanks guys

Andy
I think all creditors wanted more, the £90 came from Amex I believe. Sarah managed to canvas support from the other creditors and they came back with a more realistic £40 increase so Amex didn't matter anymore.
I will post all details as soon as I have.
Still a bit shell shocked today!!

Melanie
I really appreciate all you have all done for me and Sarah was brilliant today.
i will write a blog as I know how much this forum and peoples blogs have helped me to become much more informed and make better choices, as soon as I get time I will do this.
I am so tired now and think its all caught up with me, all the stress and worry i have been coping with on my own for all these weeks is comming out now. I had my new boss meeting me today, and luckily Sarah called me before then so i could focus and perform in front of him!!
Thanks again for all your help and i will also write a review on iva.com as soon as I get more time

Your story, and how you feel your life has changed as a result of facing up to those debts and attacking them singlehandedly, is what IVAs are all about. Well done!

Fantastic news, I know what its like to handle this kind of thing single handedly, but like you, I found this forum a wonderful fountain of knowledge and warmth. Heres to a debt free future.
