Hi my wife is from South Africa and we are both currently in an IVA we have managed to put enough money aside to apply for her british passport. She currently has idefinite leave to remain and this is pretty much the final stage. I dont want to waste over £700 going for it then to be told she cant have it because of the IVA.

There are some older posts on this but these were 2-3 years old.

The only mention in the form for refusal is bankruptcy which is then a no no , thanks in advance for your help

I do not see any reason why the IVA would affect her getting a passport but it may be worth calling the passport office in advance.

As IVA will not stop your wife getting a passport.
