I’ve been with Creditfix for 3 years now and all okay for the moment, I’ve been having back pain issues due to my demanding job (care assistant) for 9 years constant appointments to doctors etc and I’m struggling at my job tremendously I can’t cope with the work anymore. If I put my notice in work and took some time off work for a few months would that be a issue to the Iva as this is my main worry! Even though I could claim universal credits (as I am now for help) then go back to work later on? They have already put another year on my Iva so 7 years in total I can’t and don’t want it to be any longer then it is. I’m happy for them to see my medical records to proof I’ve been to doctors 3 times now this year about my back pain and not seeing the specialist till 4 weeks time for an appointment. I’ve looked for alternative jobs but unfortunately seems just care work at the moment.

To add:
I’ve asked my managers for lighter duties or come off night shifts and they have refused, they know about my back pain because I pulled my back out at work during helping a resident.

CF might agree to a payment break, or reduced payments, but they are likely to add time on to make up for it.
I am not qualified to give advice and can only state my opinions, based on my IVA experiences.

Thank you for the reply, that’s ideally not what I wanted a payment break as before they lowered my payments but they added the extra year on top to make up for it now I’m paying more I’m still stuck with the extra year.
