hi everyone hope everyones well x
sorry i have a small question-just had a rather unpleasant person on the phone from one of my creditors-not mercers today although they still call regularly.
basically this other person has said they will be appealing against the iva as their company didnt agree to it.
i already told them it was legally binding but they were very insistent they would appeal and was so rude i put the phone down.
theyre not getting the hint !

They're trying it on. Give Mel's office a ring and tell them.

Doesn't matter if they didn't agree to it, they are bound by it.

Don't blame you for putting the phone down.

I'm fine thank you Fergie.

I must admit though, it's a new one on me that they are going to appeal!

Good job you know better, but I'm sure there are people out there who might have had the same sort of call and be worried to death now.

As a matter of interest - who was the creditor?

Don't blame you FD on putting the phone down if they are so rude!!..we had a problem with one of our creditors who didn't vote on our proposal and they said the same to us,the woman didn't even know what an IVA was? so I had to explain and afterwards, she still insisted that they hadn't agreed to it and that we had to pay the debt in full or they would take things further.[}:)]..pleased to say,all sorted now though and no more phonecalls.!!..I'm glad to see that you're not letting them get to you anymore..xx[:)]
IVA accepted 13/11/2008..17 payments down,55 to go..

I think I'd have been inclined to laugh at them!

Why oh why do these companies always try this type of tactic!

Your ok as long as you have a majority (I think 75%) of your creditors aggreing to the proposal.

Check with your IP.

Good luck and don't let the b*****s get you down!

They had their chance to object at the creditors meeting, and are properly bound under the terms of your arrangement.

Blow it! Me and my typing - I mean that they are bound by the arrangement. I have edited earlier post, so as not to confuse anyone else.

SORRY!!!
