Hi all
I haven't been around for a while because after our previous IVA creditors meeting 3 weeks ago I had a phone call to say due to a legal technical matter our IVA creditors meeting had to have a new meeting called - This creditors meeting took place on Monday 15th October and has been approved with a few mods, which I will post once we receive the Chairmans report, but this time we had no rejections. [:D]
Thanks again to all on this site that have supported me - I have been looking on the site but was advised not to post anything until after the 2nd creditors meeting so since 6th September which was the original creditors meeting which was adjourned for two weeks and the recalled again for 15.10.07, I have been living on my inner strength and its been really hard not to post anything about this and quite lonely too.
Nancy and Jim at GT have been fantastic - Melanie thanks for providing the solution for hubby's part time earnings and I am just so happy to have an end to the whole process which started in April this year, the relief I can't tell you.
The two modification's that I can say with certainty is that we had proposed to pay 66 payments instead of 60 payments to cover the equity in the house, but we have had a mod to say that we must try to remortgage at month 54, if not sucessful the payments with continue for an extra 12 months IE 66 payments. American Express also asked for an additional £20 per month, which GT are going to go back and ask them why and where it comes from and try and get them to agree not to persue it.
What a long and winding roller coaster this has been, but a lesson well learnt.

Only potentially 53 payments to go!!

Thanks again for all the support [8D][:D]

To all concerned parties

Sometimes, the negotiation between debtor, creditors and IP can be so sensitive that it is not appropriate to make issues public at this time. I have occasionally suggested to my own clients that they may be better keeping issues quietly to themselves until negotiations have been finalised. There is time aplenty after the acceptance of the IVA to place forum postings, and after all an IVA is a very private arrangement between debtor and creditors.

I cannot say that this happened in this case, but I suspect I may be right.

Hi all
Thanks for the messages and Melanie is spot on for her reasons why I was advised not to post, and also because a second meeting had to be arranged due to the legal technicality but its all turned out OK - But now that everything is ship shape I can post and support again it was really hard not being able to talk about the last three weeks and I am just glad that its all over.....and its settled now! Just got to keep making the payments!!
Best wishes to you all
Rainbow
