Hi we have only just registered on this forum but have been Reading comments for the last few months.

Between us we owed £45,000. We first called payplan in November and started the process of setting up an iva. Today we were approved paying back £360 a month over 5 years. This is a massive weight of our shoulders as we had been paying nearly £1000 a month on loans, over drafts fees and minimum payments.

Back in November we thought we would lose our home and cars and were really worried. The team at payplan have been excellent throughout and now we will be debt free in 5 years and be so much better off. We only had £200 to a month to live on before due to all our debt and so lived on credit cards.

Good luck to anyone else out there in the process of setting up an iva.

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Congratulations on having your IV approved.

I'm with Payplan as well and have found them to be fine so far.

Do you have an equity release clause?

Good luck tomorrow. Yes pay plan have been excellent the whole way through, they did not judge us and it seemed they were on our side as they got our payments down to 27p to every £1 we owed.

Great result. I was not sure if mine would be accepted at 31p in the pound, but no problems with it.

Keep posting to let us know how you are getting on.

Good luck for tomorrow - I'll be thinking of you.

By his time next week I'll also know if mine's been approved or not. Feel sick every time I think about it. Had a really nasty note from Mercers today saying a debt collector will call at my home on the 8th. Things are really starting to feel as if they're closing in and I'm starting to panic about what I'll do if it's not approved.
