Just had my phone call and my proposals have been accepted[:D]
50p in the £
Just the one mod which concerns my company pension, they would like me to suspend payments for the 5yrs (which I don't think the scheme allows anyway) if this is not possible then they want me to pay the min amount into into the pension (which I'm already doing) and provide details of the scheme within 30days to the CSD dept.

Thanks to everyone here for ALL your support and good wishes, it has really really helped me

Thanks again for all your help.
It really is a relief ...honestly.
The pension bit was bit of a pain but at least they haven't asked me to cancel it which was my main worry.

Thanks to everyone[8D][:D][8D]

So just to clarify they have agreed for you to maintain your current pension arrangement?

Basically yes, if the scheme doesn't allow suspension for 5 yrs (which I don't think it does) I'm just to pay the min amount into it which I am doing now anyway.

Great news. Let's hope the scheme doesn't have an optout.

Thats something that I'm unsure about to be honest but they haven't actually asked me to opt out or cancel the scheme, just to suspend it for the 5yrs and if not possible just to pay the min amount.

Thanks again

Hi
Well done.
The Company pension should be fine,I,m sure that it is only personal pension schemes that you can suspend for x amount of years.
It,s nice to hear of a bit of compassion from creditors, afterall they could have insisted that you stopped paying into it.
Please let us all know when you get this clarified.

Hi Andy,
Yeh I will post back once its all be clarified but it was defo said to me on the phone about suspending the pension not canceling it, also Payplan said that if I was allowed to suspend/restart after 5 yrs and that if the scheme insists on having a medical to restart that Payplan have told the creditors that the mod wouldn't come in effect as having to have a medical is nonsense.
So basically its alot of finding out to be done by the CS dept oncethey recieve my pension documents etc but again as you said, it all seems to be pointing to a personal pension, not a company one and if thats the case, all I have to do is pay the min amount into it which I am doing anyway.
Very chuffed to be honest as that was the only mod that was asked for...

Received the chairmans report today and it clearly states that IF my pension scheme doesn't allow me to take a 5 yrs break I can continue with my pension but only pay into it the min payment each month, so thats all confirmed for me.
Just gotta find out about my pension scheme now....this is gonna be interesting as its an American firm

Hi Aguise,
Thank you for the best wishes, it really does help.
Last night I was still wondering if I had done the right thing, I didn't have the euphoria feeling that I was expecting after I put the phone down yesterday.
But this morning once I had received the chairmans report and rang the client support dept I am actually starting to feel that I have done the right thing and it will be a big relief not bouncing money and payments around on pay day.

Hi
You have done the right thing and I get the impression that you are a realist and know that the next five years are going to be tough, but I can assure you that the hardship will be worth it.
When I was in debt I used to wake thinking about money, now I don,t give it a second thought and life is so much better.
Start counting down from sixty.
