Hi All,

My meeting was at 10:30am. I had a call from Tom (Mel's) team at around 11:00am to say that there was good news my proposal had been accepted, but with one modification which was an increase in payments from £210 to £245. I was expecting this as my tv package was slightly higher, than guidelines.

The relief is wonderful, I now can look forward to be debt free in 5 years time, and plan for a better future for my son and myself. I’ll be 38 when it completes, and plan to start saving for my 40th then#61514;!!!

Thank you to everyone on the forum who has been great especially support wise, Thank you to Tina for speaking with me in December before Christmas, Thank you for Marc and Amie for their help in answering my questions and dealing with my creditor queries. Thank you to Mel for the support on the forum, thank you to Sue for compiling my proposal and getting it accepted, I look forward to a smooth 5 years with you as my IP and thank you to Tom for chairing the meeting and delivering the good news (he does have a lovely accent). I must say thank you to vincent bond also, as i spoke to them and they sent my paper work to Mel's team. I think that is all the Thank you’s.

The last few month ‘s have been stressful, especially as not everyone (family and friends) knows what I am doing. But I’m glad I can now move forward. My only regret would be in that I should have done this sooner rather than pay CCCS first then Pay plan collectively for 6 years. I could have been positing a different post today. But hey ho, we live and learn.

I hope I can be help to others on the forum and look forward to sharing my journey with you all.

Just 1 last thank you. Thank you again everyone for the best wishes over the last few days…..It is so appreciated.

Kind regards
Charlene xx

Fabulous news and wish you all the best on your journey to being debt free! I just hope I am able to post such good news in the future, I am also with Mel and her team and it is lovely to see posts like this, I know that if I am not succesful in having an IVA accepted it won't be through lack of effort from them judging by all the wonderful posts about them! can't express how grateful I am to have found this forum that led me to all the advice, lovely people and Mel's team, its wonderful!

Good luck Charlygirl - I will hopefully be able to save for my 40th Birthday if I can enter an IVA!

Hi Charlygirl. Super-pleased for you!! I always lol when I read about 'the tv package issue'. They seem to forget that we can't afford any other entertainment than to sit in and watch tv!! It must be great knowing there's a more positive financial future within reach for you and your son
