I just wanted to say that it is with great relief that my F&F IVA has been approved.

A big thanks for Melanie and her team, with a special mention to Amie, for making the whole process stress free and for all their support, I cannot recommend them enough, this is how an IP firm should be!

Although I have pretty much ticked all the major boxes of reasons for my debt - relationship breakdown, loss of job, relocation, house repossession (and possibly insanity leading to all of this) - I feel I have been very fortunate.

I have had the wonderful support of my family and friends and to have had the time to carefully look at all the options, to do my research and to chose the best IP for my IVA (I am very grateful they accepted me).

What I have learnt is not matter how bad things may look, there are solutions out there and how important it is to take the time to consider what is best for your circumstances and not just to accept a way out of debt due to panic. Maybe I have been lucky but dealing with creditors need not be a nightmare and I have found all of them to be very reasonable as long as you are willing to keep in touch with them.

Once again a big thank you to Melanie and her team, as without her I would not be looking forward to having closure to all of this.

Great news Ftreal. And a great post. Yes, communication is the key, but also, as you have discovered, is that research and finding a great firm to represent you.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Same here. Having seen all the great feedback, plus the sheer amount of contributions Melanie and her team make to this forum convinced me to go with them.
One pay-cheque away from oblivion!

Many thanks for all of the very kind comments on this post, which have left me quite teary. For a number of reasons I have had a very tough week, and when I read things like this it does inspire me to want to carry on with the work that we do and continue to strive for higher standards. Thank you all so much for posting.
