That's very sad! I am totally honest on here and I wish professional posters would identify themselves - must have something to hide.

I wouldn't class him as professional kazza - he knows he would get booted off as he has been on numerous other occasions!

An absolute disgrace that he has been on here three times - latterly claiming to be a client of a reputable company who were supposed to have acted shoddily. I think that whoever vets new entrants to this forum ought to be more careful to check against previous IP addresses of those who have abused their presence herein.

Andy - I also think that you ought to lodge a formal complaint about that company with the OFT. I have had cause to speak to their Managing Director on more than one occasion with regard to the peddling of bankruptcy assist services to my clientbank.

I'm not sure if there is any vetting as such. You just register, put in an email address and that't it. There's no way of barring an IP address as far as I am aware and of course sometimes the IP address changes.

It is disgusting that he has maligned a company for no reason and it would serve him right if they had been reading this and took him to court for defamation!

Well this is hilarious!, I just knew there was something not right about this thread from the off, I couldn't understand how any company can just obtain PPI without consent of the debtor as they wouldn't have a clue which debts had PPI on them anyway without the debtors knoweldge? it was a ridiculous scenario! Much of what Terry wrote on this thread was just ridiculous and severely biased anyway, he hasn't done himself nor bankruptcy assist companies any favours

There are enough unscrupulous IVA companies about (in the minority) that there is no need to fabricate a scenario. Some of the bully boy IVA companies are doing enough on their own through their actions to make people think twice about entering or staying in an IVA.

There is however no excuss for what Terry or whatever his real name is did!
7 years after starting an IVA I finally received a completion certificate from ClearDebt

We are very proud of the fact that in this age of constant vetting and restrictive security processes, this forum is open to all.

A tremendous debt of gratitude is due to the moderators (and Detective Andy !) whose constant vigilance ensures that the very occasional spammer and rogue poster don't last long [:)]. [:)]

Well it certainly got me worried as I posted on this thread, I'm with HB!

They have given me a really professional, speedy service to my debt problems and I can not fault them so far. But reading the accusations made me wonder whether I'd done the right thing? Hopefully I still have......

I do hope this matter is taken further, either by HB or Andy Davie.

Many thanks for getting to the bottom of this charade.
I can now do without.....

Hi

It took the best part of my Saturday going through various email and IP addresses to sort this one out.

At least it was sorted - I'm sure he'll be back again at some point though - these people never give up do they?

I'd love it if HB did something about this.

The vast majority of posters are genuine and honest but unfortunately the odd one or two aren't and want to spoil it for everyone.

Fortunately they are very few and far between and will always either trip themselves up or someone spots a similarity about certain things.

They'll always be locked out.

A Saturday well spent I would say Andy. My youngest assures me that these sort of people are called "trolls" on Twitter.

In hindsight there were clues. His username for a start, Terry Tibs is a character from Phonejacker, which if you havent seen it is a comedy show in which TT is a loud brash 70's minder type character, who phones people and leads them on...

The bit I dont understand( and I cant be bothered to read it all again to see if its there)...is why he bothered at all? Surely he was never going to drum up business for his own firm, at best he was going to inject nervousness into people considering or struggling with IVA's. He came across as unhinged anyway so he was hardly a good advert for his own company!
