Hello, I've been lurking on this forum long enough and decided I should be more community minded and get involved. I've been preparing the IVA process with Wilson Phillips (not the 90s pop group!) for a month or so now, and it is finally going to the creditors meeting on 14th July. I'm terrified! I have no idea what i will do if it does not get approved. Does anyone recommend that I actually attend the meeting? I have about £70,000 in debts - the main creditors being MBNA and First Direct. I'm not sure how much info to give here or just to say hello, so if i'm breaking all sorts of rules i apologise!

Hope everyone is well. your forum posts keep me going. IVA stress may be the best diet ever [:p]

Have Wilson Phillips advised you to attend the meeting of creditors? It is really just a desk top exercise these day, with votes being received from creditors by post or fax rather than just turning up, but if you have not yet met your IP this could be a good opportunity.

Hi Melanie! Have been glued to your words of wisdom for weeks now! Um, no they said i just need to be contactable by phone on the day, but my employer has offices in the area which i visit regularly so I was thinking of meeting the IP anyway that day.

IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Just wanted to add my good wishes too.

The creditors meeting day can be a bit nerve wracking so it might not be the best day to meet your IP.
