I made a full and final settlement on my IVA a year ago, one year after it started. Since then I've decided to change jobs and went for an interview at an investment bank. They financial check you for the previous 5 years and asked if I had any CCJs or bankruptcy they should know about. I don't and answered truthfully. However I've just realised that I probably should have mentioned my IVA. Will they not employ someone that has had an IVA in the past?
Hi Popcorn, I'm not sure if they would employ you or not but do know the IVA will stay on your credit file for 6 years from the date of acceptance of the IVA.
I would possibly check with the HR company of the bank to see?
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
Hi
It will show up if and when they credit check you. Did they just ask about bankruptcy and CCJs or did it talk about insolvency agreements and/or formal agreements with your creditors ?
Regards
The IVA will show up if it's been less than 6 years.
Why don't make an anoymous call to their HR department and just ask if they employ people who have completed an IVA.
