Hello. I have been in a IVA since Nov 2010 first payment was 26th Nov 2010, it's with freeman Jones. They are saying my final payment is due nov 2015 but that's 61 months? I've never missed a payment or taken a holiday break. Is that normal? My credit file even states I've already made 58 payments! Can they make me pay in Nov 2015? Oh and they've just been so kind to let me know we apparently have £3500 outstanding to pay?!? Annoyed doesn't even come close! Please help!

Hi and welcome.

You need to take this up with them. Is there any reason why they have said you owe this money? Have you had any bonuses or windfalls you haven't declared?

Hello,
Apparently it's built up over the last 5 years! My husbands wages do differ month to month which they have always been aware of! I have no problem in paying it back just wished I'd known about it sooner. They've done reviews every 6 months and not once told us this was building up!! No windfalls ... Or bonuses

Steven Hewitt is a poster on here from FJ - his details can be found on the left hand side of the page under the expert details. Drop him a line and see if he can sort this out for you.

That is inexcusable - they have deliberately not told you that you were building up arrears?
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

That's bad. Like your husband, my wages vary each month and I've had no problems through the IVA. I'm with Aperture and I hope my IP won't present an unpleasant surprise. Last payment left the bank a month ago and I'm awaiting the final review report.
*IVA started Sept 2010
*Last Payment Taken August 2015
*Completion Certificate Issued November 2015

Hi Kelly - something does not seem right here as if I understand correctly they are saying you owe arrears of £3,500 but have only extended your contributions by one month to make up for this?

Hi Kellyreds,

I've managed to locate your details and asked the team at Freeman Jones to provide a full breakdown for you. This way we can see exactly why the extension is required and what options you have available.

I hope this helps so we can move forward with helping you to complete your IVA.

Regards
Steven Hewitt - a member of the team at Freeman Jones
