Hi, could someone please shed some light on the full and final process, as my company are not much use, so im currently here, submitted my full and final paperwork about 6 months ago, lots and lots of waiting and phone calls, telling me i needed a variation telephone call, which was done in the past week, i didn't really see the need i was on the phone for 3 minutes flat, so anyway, i asked what happens next, and they said they need to draught my paperwork (as if 6 months isnt long enough) and then after 7 days they can give me a date for the creditors meeting, as they need 28 working days notice, is this what is supposed to happen? it's just a giant messy cloud in my head at the moment and I can't quite understand it, ive been waiting nearly 8 months since starting the whole process, im nearly gonna have it paid off in a minute before they even do anything, thanks

Meanwhile ... in the real world ...... they are supposed to draft a variation within a couple of weeks of getting any paperwork needed from you, then give creditors a few weeks notice. The whole process should take 2 - 3 months from start to finish. I hope you included mention of reducing the lump sum by any payments made in the interim !
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Once they have received everything they need from you they have 21 days to call the creditors meeting to consider your variation. (This will be in your terms - check the variation section)

They have to give at least 14 days notice of the meeting.

So unless is is adjourned, once you gave them everything they needed you should have got your answer within 5 weeks....
