I don't think Melanie ever sleeps!!! What makes her brilliant is that she is always there to keep us all "safe"!!!

It really doesn't matter if you have never defaulted...it is when you default thats when the relations with the Banks go sour, to the banks we are just a number.
Just pay a pro rata payment till the iva is
on the table. As long as they know some action is been done by the debtor they can't do much to you- the banks will not official default or terminate the accounts till 60 days

CCC is doing iva now, supposedly with an upfront payment??

Ladies - your kind words are most welcome - and Emma my colleague Tina will call you tomorrow morning to arrange a chat.

Can I assure all of you who think that I am permanently glued to my computer all day and night, and therefore am a bit of a saddo, that there is a social life and a family in there somewhere!

I have lots of outside interests - mostly sporting, but do take my work and advice very seriously. And apart from Coronation Street, The Apprentice (when it is on!) Life on Mars (sadly no longer!)- and weepy 1940's black and white films - I hate staring at a TV screen all night (if I could ever get near it as my hubby wears the trousers at home - and it therefore always switched to either Sky Sports or the Sci-Fi channel!)

The forum is a great place to share thoughts, ideas, grumbles and good practical advice - and I think that we all learn an awful lot from it every day.

Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner for over 20 years.

Hi Emma
You are so right to question what CCCS are doing with your expenditure. It is a sure recipe for a failed IVA if your expenditure is not realistic.
Afterall it,s not all about getting the IVA accepted,it IS all about getting it concluded satisfactorily.

I'm glad that you have questions CCCS's 'adapting' your expenditure to fit the IVA. Unless the allowances are realistic the IVA is unlikely to last the 5 years. Good luck with your IVA with Melanie.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.
