Grimsworld it's just a special URL on Amazon I'm not asking for credit card details. Lol.

I was not going to write originally here but I saw some of the distressed posts.

I work in data aggregation. I did not even know IVA existed. Of course it should not be released so that is why I will refer myself to the relevant governmental organisations tomorrow morning for them to investigate.

I feel I said everything I need to now. And just one final apology to those affected. Thank you.

I'm as angry as everyone else - every now and again I just wish that pigs would fly.

If the right thing has been done then great.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Personally I am glad the site has gone but this has really shaken me up and feel like emotionally has taken me back a year.
Currently in an IVA. Not a Financial Professional, any comments expressed are just my opinion.

I understand the high feelings this has aroused, however, please remember the forum ethos of RESPECT FOR ALL.

Jared ( assuming he IS Jared ) has corrected the issue --- let us hope that this is the end of it.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Oh yeah and the "let us know if your details are inaccurate " link updated over the weekend, yep, really meant not for public data .......

Can a forum admin capture his posting IP please, even if its deleted then it will be in the deleted posts IP details etc and can be reverse lookup to see who the IP is served by and provider and if in the Uk reported to the relevant authorities in the even that this poster forgets to surrender themselves.

Still,no apology post on the website.....

Thank you to the site owner for the apology and for taking the site down and for indeed letting us know and taking the time to make contact. I think we are all very relieved to know that this site has now gone. I think I'll pass on the Amazon gift list though, but that is a kind gesture. However I am really intrigued to know why on earth you would want to put up a site like this in the first place? Of all the things to create a website for, this seems very strange to me. What possible service did you think you could offer anyone??!!
I can only hope that your site hasn't caused any serious personal or professional repercussions for any of us frankly. Only time will tell. I completely agree with Nevillebunny that you cannot possibly understand how much stress and strain you have caused with your site. Being in serious debt is incredible stressful and can be caused by a whole host of different reasons, some of which may not even be entirely of an individual's own making. An IVA gives people the chance to turn that around, but it's no picnic believe me, it's years of hard slog and for the record it is not a 'bankruptcy' as with a bankruptcy we wouldn't be paying anything back. I get the feeling from your posts that perhaps you may not really understand the difference. Hence having people's names listed under a bankruptcy site when they are not indeed actually bankrupt, but trying to pay their debt back. Please just think very carefully before putting up any type of site on the internet again and for heaven's sake do the right research and do it thoroughly. Usually in life it's the most unintentional mistakes that are carelessly undertaken that do the most damage. The internet is a great tool but it can also be very dangerous too. I for one will be monitoring the internet much more closely to ensure that my name isn't up there like that again!
My details were on the site from March 18 I believe, so that is 10 or 11 days that this was so publicly accessible for anyone who was wondering how long they were on there.
Thanks to everyone for their kind words of support too. I'd never posted on this forum in the 3 to 4 years I've been in my IVA and hadn't realised just what a great source of support it is. At least this is one small compensation for this horrible experience.

Well, I have been following this thread ever since Annierose identified the site, and been feeling ill ever since.

In my line of work, this could have huge implications for future business for not only myself, but also many of the organisations I work with.

I have read the posts from the creator of this dreadful website, and have checked to see whether it and our names are gone, and it all has.
I appreciate that the creator has apologised and I sincerely hope that he does inform his local authorities, however I do believe that we will never really know and deep down if this will be done, and we are all fearful that something like this could surface in the future, creating this worrying experience again.

The internet is great for bringing the world closer together - it still doesnt mean we understand each other and what applies in each country.

Longslog I agree that a public apology would indeed tell us if 'Jared' is indeed genuine. It would be nice to think that occasionally pigs might fly.

I would like to know where Jared has been drawing the information from. Apart from re-publishing personal data from a Government source without authorisation being illegal, where else is this information available ?

Still so annoyed how one person can go out of their way to impact on so many people in such a negative way for their own personal gain.

I also will pass of the Amazon Gift List. No amount of gifts will stop me worrying whether work colleges and friends using my Linked In have seen your website page of me and my personal information. Be talking about me behind my back. While you sit there hidden behind fake names and addresses trolling people.

It's the difference between can you and should you.

It's only reinforced for me that data sharing has gone too far.

Longslog, you have been a great source of knowledge, help and support through this, for which I and, I am sure, many others are grateful.

Please do not spoil the apparent success with threats, which are contrary to the forum ethos.

Respect for all is one thing, but I for one and I suspect many others too, are not happy about what happened and that Jared or whoever he is has put our names out into the internet. Dont forget the cached stuff still exists, and that he was mean enough to make sure that his site and all our details was right up there at the top of the Google listings.
