I have been allowed to carry on paying into my pension. I wasn't even asked if I could come out of it, nor was I asked to reduce the contributions - I pay the maximum that the company will match.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Thanks for the clarification. Its doesnt sound like the end of the earth... and the stigma associated with it.
Generally what sort of sums of money are required to be paid each month when declared bankrupt ?
Basically salary £21k no assets, is it assessed it on what you can afford ?

You will be submit details of your income and expenditure to the OR and they will then assess whether you will need to pay anything. The general rule of thumb is that you will need to have £100 surplus per month before you have to make any payments, and then the most you will pay is 70% of that surplus. I have listed my allowances on my blog, along with a table showing how much you would need to pay. Just bear in mind that every case is different!

Hi, I have just had my iva approved and the company I went with was clearstart, my IP was Alex Twitchen.
I too e mailed to say that I thought I could offer more. I was advised not to as there may be modifications to deal with on the day,
my creditors have set mods in place but nothing around wanting more money. I wish you the best of luck with your creditors meeting.pleae let us know how you go on.
