I'm much more positive today - going to ask for 15% reduction, I believe IP can do this without calling a creditors meeting. as we pay £935 a month this will help. If thats a no-no, I'll request a variation meeting.

I don't want the IVA to fail as we've come this far and I don't like anything beating me [}:)]

Thanks for all the support.xx

Are you allowed to miss two payments and then add two months to end?
Keep positive I'm sure there will be a solution!!

Hi

We can extend the IVA upto 72 months, but I don't think this is the answer. I need to make sure the repayments are viable and maybe I should have tackled this before instead of being so grateful for the IVA being accepted and overstrecthing ourselves. We live and learn eh? [;)]

Julie

The best way to tackle this with your IP is to be prepared. Have e-mailed them a revised income and expenditure to review, and let them know that you would like a telephone appointment to discuss this further. When they know that you are serious, you will be treated seriously by them.

thanks for the advice Melanie - I have emailed them I&E and requested a call after 5pm tomorrow, or in the least to contact me to arrange a suitable time to discuss.

Just reading the finance section of MOS and apparently the amount of people struggling with mortgages are at a high (surprise, surprise). One thing they advise is contacting your mortgage company to see if term of mortgage can be extended. This may be antohter avenue I'll explore if necessary.

I'll keep you all updated.xx
