Had a good meeting with Mel, she is lovely and we discussed everything we needed to in detail, including the option of BR for me which I really don't want to do, although it has been on my mind.

So now Mel will get the proposal re-drafted to reflect changes we made at the meeting and hopefully get it out to us today, if not, yesterday please Mel, well as soon as possible and then we'll need to absorb what it says sign it and get it back to her...then the creditors meeting which should be 2nd week of December.

It's been a long old journey so far and only a couple more weeks until the ultimate decision is made by my creditors.....fingers crossed guys, it may not be pretty!

Glad you had a good meeting with Mel Cath, told you she was lovely.

Hopefully not long until the creditor meeting now so you can be sorted for Christmas.

I am glad that you felt the meeting was beneficial Cath, and I think that you would agree that face to face meetings directly with the person who is going to be reprsenting you are very important. Hopefully I can finalise matters for you now over the next day or so.

Definately agree with that, I would imagine from your side you can get a feel as to how committed to the IVA the client is, especially mine! And from my point of view it enabled me to be clear about the figures and all the options.

I have taken a couple of creditor calls today, Nationwide were fine and updated their file, the man from MBNA was a numpty who wanted me to pay and then went on that if I couldn't pay them how would I pay the IVA blah blah blah, I gave him a run for his money because knowledge is power and thanks to all you guys I know what I'm talking about now!!!

Well done Cath, some of the creditors are complete bullies and we should stand our ground against these, so long as we're polite I can't see the problem in saying you're in the process of an IVA and they should accept this.

Hubby has been passed on to the dreaded Mercers, I've managed to stave off Barclaycard for a couple of weeks. I've told him to speak to them next time they call, not that it will make any difference but it will make me feel better!

I'm not feeling good today, I feel that it's all over before it even began.

Cheer up Cath - Mel is doing her stuff for you and is obviously happy with your proposal.

It will be over soon.
