Hi Cath and all,
Wednesday 9th for me... will be counting down the days... and hours!
Just to follow up on what Cath said "you guys rock" this is very true! Without everyone on here and all the advice and support I would probably have progressed no further and we would still be sauntering along, even though I had taken advise from one of the debt charities! I know like many here I am not quite there yet but would like to thank you all for your help so far!

Just a quick update.
Since our Barclays joint account has been frozen for two weeks now, we have been attempting to reply to letters and speak to Barclays bank regarding my wifes (not in an IVA) loan, however all attempts to get Barclays to take a payment off us or even change her payment to come out of our new account have been unsuccessfull....until 15 mins ago that is!
Received a call from Barclays Collections department tonight and as a result managed to pay her missed payment and set up a direct debit for her loan.....in addition they stated in order to assist my wife, they would delay next months payment for 14 days.
Just hope they are as accommodating with our £4k overdraft I have left my wife with though...doh!

Thanks Cath & Ladyh.....still waiting for Barclays to actually allow me to speak to a "human" in regards to our overdraft, but little steps I suppose.

Hi danieln. Nope no progress as yet. Will hopefully be chatting to them this week and arranging a payment plan of some sort.
Good luck.

Hi all just a quick update on my joint bank account which I left my wife holding with over £4k overdraft. I enquired today into setting up a payment plan with the bank but discovered the account is no longer ongoing.
Visited Barclays today and it appears that the account has been "closed" entirely and the balance reduced to "nil". The Personal Banker reckons it will all of been consolidated into my IVA, however, with my Wife not being included in the IVA, could I be that lucky I wonder...time will tell?
In any event I also tried AGAIN (4th time) to set up my wifes repayment from our new bank to her Barclayloan, however, Barclays cannot seem to do it so the only suggestions are either she pays by cheque each month at the branch or I set up a standing order from my account.
Anyway great news on Cath and Dan today so a very positive day...onward and upward.
