Be interesting to see what happens about the overdraft.

Perhaps you should set up a standing order - at least that way you know it is paid.

I hope you can get it sorted with Barclays Penny, they have always been a nightmare for me and even had a call from Mercers tonight.

Yep Kallis will be trying the "standing order" route this month.

Well Cath all we can do is wait to see what happens. Obviously would be great if they can combine the overdraft into my IVA...fingers crossed.

I had a call from Mercers the day mine was accepted as well. Just told them I was in a IVA and they couldn't call me anymore. They even had the cheek to ask for a payment!

Not heard anything since though.

The first thing they asked me for was money...I told them my IVA had been accepted and they asked me for details of the OR, shows how much their staff know, I told them I wasn't bankrupt and what did an OR have to do with it so she put the account on 7 day hold lmfao!

I also had a few calls from Nationwide today who were represented by TIX with the lodgers clause in our proposal.

The call centre staff don't have a clue.

I was lucky that my calls didn't continue afterwards. However, it does take a while for the information to filter down through the various offices.

Agreed kallis I dont think these big companies have a very good in-house "communication" policy. Strange that when they all look at the same computer screen you would expect them to see the same results.

You would have thought so. There are posters on here who have received calls for months afterwards.

I've now had calls and spoken to Mercers, MBNA and Nationwide, all since yesterday....apparently I am now on the 89th day of the Nationwide criteria for passing the debt on but I guess that doesn't matter any more...how calming it is now to speak to them. I wonder if they pass on the cases to more qualified staff because MBNA and Nationwide seemed to know what they were talking about rather than simply asking me for money.

Cath I suppose it matters little now what your creditors do...after all you are now "in an IVA".....well done.

At least you can rest safe in the knowledge that they can't do anything to you.

Just thought I'd resurrect my "process" story for any "newbies". 8th Sep seems a lifetime ago now.

Hi Pennyless.

We are only just starting the process of going down the IVA route. I see you have been in an IVA for some months now.

How are you coping with being more frugal?

Thanks.

Hi sinking fast...I started the process in Sep and got approved 2 months ago. I have found the whole IVA process and finance management more of an education then a bind to tell the truth, so although I dont have as much to spend I feel much better now that I am only spending my own money and thats priceless.

Obviously having Melanie Giles as my IP has made the process much easier.
