Hi all.....agreed Helen, my Son has helped me and my wife a great deal and we owe him a lot.
Sinking Fast, Skippy, Helen, Lesley and Kallis its so good to see your friendly faces and I know without most of the people like yourselves on here (and of course our IP's), life would be so much harder for many.....including myself. You are all stars and although I dont post as much i pop in quite regularly and see how much you all help others.
All the best to one and all.

Just a quick update. Now coming up to Annual Review so have been requested by IP to get some supporting evidence.
Contacted NR regarding extension to "Interest Only" payments on mortgage (have to be reviewed annually) and hoping that they will extend for another 12 months. Biggest concern would be 3/4 years down the line and they refuse my application which would instantly fail my IVA as i wouldn't be able to make payments...but hey one year at a time i think.
Good luck all.
Kallis congrats on Administrator appointment...you really are another star on this forum!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for those kind words Pennyless! I love being on here and being able to help people.
Fingers crossed that NR will extend. No reason why they shouldn't.
Hope the review goes ok as well. Let us know.

Hi all.....just a quick update. Coming up to 2nd annual review. Received a letter from NRAM this month stating that my IO mortgage would be reverting to "repayment" which obviously sent my pulse racing, however, after a quick call to NRAM explaining our predicement and the reason for staying on IO to fulfil my IVA obligations, NRAM wrote to say they would allow me to remain on IO for a further 12 months.......so a major relief for us.

Thankx Kallis....obviously amongst everything else the cash saved on our IO mortgage is a major contributor towards the IVA payment and I remain fearful that at sometime NRAM could pull the plug, force us onto "repayment" and thus greatly diminish our ability to continue in an IVA. Just so relieved they have gave us another 12 months!

Still awaiting news on my annual review for the year but after getting through another round of redundancies earlier this year, my Wife has recently been told that she has the choice of either moving to another office (a further 20 miles away from her current office) or being made redundant (again).
Majority of her colleagues appear to be taking the redundancy package but weighing everything up, not just my IVA but also the prospects of finding another job in such bad times my wife is opting to re-locate.
I have also been included in two phases of redundancies this year and fortunately held onto my position but as things are not getting any easier with the business, again it makes sense that we both make our best endeavours to keep at least one of us in employment.
I have recently spoken to my IP at length about my Wife getting credit to buy a more reliable vehicle to travel to work and they have stated that as long as it comes from her DI (she's not in an IVA) and does not affect my IVA payment then she would be able to seek a loan to get a newer vehicle but alas her credit score is shot to pieces so that may not be an option.
In any event her trusty old Ford still has 6 months MOT left and plenty of AA cover so looks like we'll be investing in more "gaffa tape" & "cable ties" to keep her on the road.
If you didn't laugh eh.......
