Hello,
I recently completed an IVA proposal application, (Sunday night) I received an email on Monday saying they will be contacting me on Tuesday but as yet have not heard anything. I know it's only Wednesday but I'm just a bit worried about everything at the moment. I don't want to upset them by appearing pushy but I did'nt know whether to wait for them to contact me or try ringing them. Also should I contact more than one company????

Thank you, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Give them a call. I should imagine IP's are bombed out at the moment, probably just an oversight.

You may also find that they will contact you this evening. I try and call my clients late afternoon early evening when I know they will be back from work.

Without a shadow of a doubt, you should be talking to 2 or 3 providers anyway to make sure you get a full picture with ALL options explained.

As for appearing pushy, I would take the opposite view in as much as I would be mortified if I promised to call someone on a set date and failed to do so, I would also not be surprised if that client decided to take his or her enquiry elsewhere. This will undoubtedly be a worrying time for you so your enquiry should, in my view, be treated seriously enough for you to get a call back when promised.

Hello again,
Thanks for replying Viki, yes it was Melanie's team. I did receive an email shortly after your post yesterday saying I would be contacted today (thursday) but it's nearly 9o'clock now and have'nt heard anyting, I think it might be a bit late now to hear from them tonight. I have emailed them a little while ago, but should I carry on waiting or try to ring them myself? Could it be they don't want to take me on??

Please could you advise...

Thanks and best wishes
Paul.

I am sure there's a simple explanation Paul. Melanie will pick up on this and reply to you.

Hi Paul

I am sorry that there appears to be some confusion over the time my colleagues agreed that you would be contacted, and I promise that I will personally look into this tomorrow morning - and one of us will get back to you straight away.

I have been away from the office for a few days, but am now back on board, so I am sure that we will be able to speak very soon.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

Hi

I am sure this is nothing personal, we have been waiting for a call from The same team which we were told would be this week.
As yet we haven't heard anything (still got tomorrow), I am going to give them a call tomorrow afternoon if I don't hear anything.

I think they are just very busy,

Try not to worry, i know that is easier said than done, we are getting letters on mass at the moment......

Stay positive....

Thank you for replying Melanie, I didnt want to seem pushy and I understand you are probably really busy during this time of year, I just was'nt sure how things worked and desperation is really setting in.
Also thank you to everyone else for your help....

Best wishes to all.

Paul.
