Hi everyone,

Sorry I have not been on for a few days. Just wanted to give my IVA buddies an update,
Following our formal meeting with Melanie (which was kindly done by telephone) we recieved our proposal on friday, following an evening going through the paperwork thoroughly this was sent back saturday.
We hope our creditor's meeting will be called before the end of Dec and if successful we can look forward to a well managed and much less stressful 2009.
To fifibonbon, breakdown and brickwall I hope you too are all moving forward with your proposal's and I watch the forum with interest.
The proposal drafted was excellent and maps out the best case possible for consideration by our creditor's. I am confident that MG & co have presented the best case possible.

Please keep your finger's crossed,

Will keep you posted

Well done billy1010. That's another step closer to your IVA. Fingers crossed that your meeting will be soon, but even if it isn't in time for Christmas, you can be safe in the knowledge that you're doing something about it.

Good luck for the future and keep posting.

Hi everyone,

Thankyou for the good wishes.

Oh well Melanie at least if its a christmas eve creditor's meeting I am off work anyway so won't have to take a day's leave. As they say 'always look on the bright side of life'.Thankyou to you and your team for all the work you have put into generating our proposal.

Finger's crossed that xmas eve there is a general feeling of yuletide spirit in those voting for the creditors. I send them all a bottle of something but don't have a heading in my i&e for such things.

Thanks again to you all for your support, It has been invaluable and has lifted my spirits no end.

Hi Billy1010,
The very best of luck with everything, looking at Melanies success rate things should go well. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you. Here's to a less stressful 2009......

Also, we are just gathering all the info Melanie needs and one of the requests is a written balance of loan accounts. Did you have any loans and if so how did you approach the companies to get your balances? Did you say you were going for an IVA or just ask for the balance ? and how long did they take to send the balance through?
So far we have everything Melanie needs, except these, and I am not looking forward to contacting them.

Cheers, Paul.

Hi Brickwall

I just told the loan companies that we we going through a 'financial review' when I asked for he copies of the agreements. The mortgage company asked why, told them the same. They never said anything else. It's been a week now, still waiting, but they did say up to 7 working days.

Have you had similar problem?

Hi Paul,

Thankyou for your good wishes,

IN respect of my loan balances I just rang and asked for a balance, they will ask if you want full early settlement or balance and I asked for both. I just told them I was considering various options to resolve my debt issues including possible settlement!! bit of a white lie but did the trick, they put my account on hold for 2 weeks and sent balance through within a couple of days. Two of my loans were with my bank and therefore I had access to up to date balances online. I just printed off the summary page from my online banking.

Hope this helps, our proposal from MG was excellent, I feel we are in good hands, she has presented the best possible case for our circumstances. Just hope the creditor's have had a couple of seasonal tipples when they vote.

Best wishes Paul,

J xx

Glad you have discovered the map brickwall! Now all you need is billy and breakdown to add you, and you will be able to email each other.

It's great to be able to chat offline, I do it with several people on here and you can chat about anything. You can make lasting friendships as well.
