Hi Cathy

it must be hard with a child to support as well as they do grow fast and want to keep up with friends. Perhaps your IP would allow you some extra money for school uniform if it is essential that your child has to wear uniform-I don't know if that can be added to your allowances, it might be worth asking.

The CCCS maximum allowances for two adults and one child are detailed below:-

Housekeeping - £370
Clothing - £56
Meals at Work/School - £47
Car Maintenence - £10

It sounds to me as if some of your figures have been manipulated to fit a certain disposable income or dividend criteria. Be careful - as you should present what you actually spend and not what your IP says they are prepared to allow you - as the IVA will ultimately run into difficulty.

Just to let you know I went back to payplan and they have allowed me meals for school and work and an extra £10 for repairs, wouldnt allow me extra for housekeeping as they said £300 was enough and creditors would start asking why if it was any more. Once again thanks for all your comments Cathy xx

I find that very odd advice! I regularly get IVA proposals accepted for clients using the CCCS allowances and, whilst I am not an advocate of any benchmarking when it comes to people's expenditure, we must remember that it is the creditors decision and not the IP's as to what should be allowed. Do be careful that you are not lining yourself up for another 5 years of fianancial misery Cathy.

Cathy, think really carefully before going ahead. Remember 5 years is a long time.
Make sure your are certain you can live within that budget.
Im glad the school meals issue got sorted. I did think it was odd that it hadnt been allowed before.
